Functional Capacity Evaluation
The KHPT Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive, systematic, and
objective process of assessing a worker’s ability to perform essential job demands. The results
may be used to determine: return to work capabilities; possible job accommodations; the
need for further treatment; residual functional capacity; and impairment ratings.

Features of our FCE

• The Foundation: Based on the five hierarchical components of: Safety; Reliability;
Validity; Practicality; and Utility.

• The Clinicians: Residence-trained “thinking evaluators” administer functional testing
protocols based on the most recently published, peer reviewed and court test literature.

• The Report: Short summary report attached to full length report for quick review of
results.

• The Extras: The GreenLeaf Evaluation System may be utilized to assist the physician in
determination of upper extremity impairment ratings.
