PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Brad Cummings received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in Amherst,
New York in 1994. After graduation, he returned home to Pennsylvania and began his career practicing in
inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. Here he was able to gain experience treating a variety of
diagnoses from stroke and total joint replacements to paraplegia. He also began developing strength and
conditioning programs for local high school teams and individual college athletes.
In 2001, Brad moved to Kentucky to further pursue his interest in Sports Medicine. He worked closely
with advanced level therapists and honed his skills in manual techniques and mobilizations, core
stabilization, and activity-specific strengthening and flexibility exercises.
Brad joined Kentucky Hand & Physical Therapy as the Director of Physical Therapy in October of 2003. In
addition to supervising the physical therapy staff, Brad sees a full caseload of clients and is the primary
therapist at our Richmond location. Brad completed the Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation
Residency program in 2004 and he is a certified hand therapist.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Brad and his wife are natives of northwestern Pennsylvania and now live in Berea, Kentucky. They have a
boxer and two quarterhorses. Brad enjoys many outdoor activities, but admits to having an obsession
with bow hunting!
